Job Overview
As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes and systems within our organization. You will be responsible for analyzing production methods and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

To plan, coordinate, direct, and implement activities associated with lean manufacturing, capital projects, operation methods, processes, new equipment installation, cost analysis, and standard costing implementation. Develops, implements, and coordinate a continuous improvement program to eliminate waste while focusing on cost reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize industrial engineering techniques to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize factory layouts and workflow
  • Utilize Auto CAD for creating and modifying engineering drawings
  • Implement robotics and vision inspection systems to automate processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve production issues
  • Develop tooling concepts for new product introductions
  • Program industrial equipment for optimal performance
  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
  • Develops and leads continuous improvement program which includes evaluation of projects, tracking of project progress, analysis of both the results and subsequent audits, and maintain metrics for activities.
  • Complete reports and presentations as needed for improvement activities to management.
  • Develop and improve continuous flow and visual systems in creating a lean culture.
  • Establish and/or confirm production labor standards to establish area and plant efficiencies.
  • Establish and maintain product bill of material audit program.
  • Support Finance group and conduct product costing analysis
  • Identify and maintain problem areas in the production process as it relates to tracking planned and actual production costs for reduction.
  • Lead, direct, and manage shop floor activities & projects to eliminate waste.
  • Manage 5S program.
  • Ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished on time and within budget.
  • Benchmark, development and implement best method procedures and processes.
  • Confers with management regarding budgeting, manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production and cost reduction.
  • Value stream analysis.
  • Support make vs. buy analysis.
  • Workplace ergonomics and workstation design.
  • Lean training facilitator.
  • Assist in financial planning and cost control systems.

Experience:

  • Experience in working with robotics and vision inspection systems
  • Strong mechanical engineering background (3-5 Years)
  • Knowledge of programming languages for industrial applications
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques
  • Previous experience in optimizing factory operations is a plus
  • Automotive Seating Experience
  • Proficient Microsoft Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word is required
  • Knowledge of solid mechanics and hands-on experience in testing and data analysis.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) mechanical,
  • electrical, manufacturing, hydraulics and industrial experience preferred.
  • Solid Works, Inventor or Pro E CAD experience preferred
