Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both automated and manual industrial equipment. This role requires a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and programming systems, with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair automated/manual equipment using electrical, electronic, and programmatic skills.
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and robotic programs.
- Identify process and equipment issues; design and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production personnel, skilled trades, and management.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout practices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Welding certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in robotics/automation repair preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of industrial automation, controls, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in the use of tools such as multimeters, hand tools, and lockout/tagout devices.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and controls; experience with Yaskawa robots a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with parts identification, ordering, and inventory control.
- Experience in welding, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 45+ lbs repetitively.
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- May require working at elevated heights or in confined spaces (permit-required).
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing setting with variable temperature and humidity.
- Exposure to textile dust, paint/weld fumes (within OSHA standards), and moderate noise.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Hearing protection required.
Language Skills:
- Fluent English reading and writing required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
